1993 Peavey Predator USA, got it for 200. Didn't come this way, needed a lot of set up . One thing gotta say first time EVER do not have to change out a strat bridge single coil. Was looking for 1 more strat, fully planning on putting USA Fender custom shop fat 50's or 57/62 for classic strat tone.My other 2 are Hot pickups but still do start very well but not early strat.
Fooled with pick up height & ya know when you first play a new guitar. You always are hit with impression of where it is sitting in your tone arsenal. It was that fat SRV thick blues style tone. not hot but thick & big notes. This is close.very close to not needing modded, bridge is staying for sure. If i can get neck out of the darkness a lil more , we good. Crazy good guitar as it is, tried to sho both sides of neck to show the 2 piece Peavey does.Pred.jpgPred a.jpgPred b.jpgPred c.jpgpred d.jpg

Those things are bulletproof. They seem to last forever. I did a refinish on one and thinking back, I should have kept it
Congrats!

That neck-plate is on “upside down”. I’d set it right, and check the microtilt situation before finalizing your setup…just me though. Sounds like you’re happy with it, so you might just want to run with it.
Most of all….

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Nice score!

It'd be a better score if it had 2 fewer strings and a longer neck Mr Bastard.

Hey…..I finally got a T-60….to go with the other three Peavey basses…
This got me to thinking about my bass playing buddy's band that I went to see with some other friends on my birthday last month.

My one friend asks, " hey, don't basses have 4 strings? His looks like it has 12."

Dave the bass player has all manner of basses with all manner of string numbers. Eventually he did whoop out a sweet 4 String Jazz.

First time i ever played 5 after all these years. Probably getting more of em. Always was looking for 1 more low note..lol

You cab rest on Low B when playing regular E tuning songs & its very comfy positioning

Cool guitar. I played one at a BBQ a few years back....the owner had the strings set up about an inch from the frets, he had an acoustic with a similar problem. He had a Mex Strat that he loved, so I bought the Peavey off him. I set it up "correctly" which is my way. It ended up being a really good player, I showed him after and he realized he knew nothing about guitar set ups....I then helped hi set up his fender better. I'm old, but he was older than me, and just didn't have a clue.
