Amps for Amp Dudes

The other video I watched of course many here have seen.
Origin 20 Mods by Head First.
Nice work and sounds good, I just can't see going through a lot of trouble to hot rod a plexi type amp in to a modded 800.
To me it would be easier to just build a 800 on a turret board. The thing about the newer Marshall's is they just have to much extra stuff.

Jason does nice work, and is a super nice guy.
I contemplated the O20 mods, but came to a full stop when I found out the mod removes the tube drive loop for the extra gain stage.
Gotta have my loop.
And I didn't need to change my O20 to make it sound like some other amp.
I just got some other amps - way easier...

Yeah , his work sounds great .
I have , like I said several builds and if ever finish them I won't need a plexi or a 800. The third I have parts for I am not set on it but a Slo Clone is probably going to be the one.

I played Marshall's for many years still have 5 Super Lead 100 and a Park 75 have not played them on stage since 2001

I think Jose was a amp butcher look at this mess

One man's fun is another's He_L
I am pretty sure the guys that played it loved it and never opened it up.
There are many builders and modders none more famous than Jose.

I liked the 800 for cleaner tone and the 900 for tighter dirtier tone. But the speakers could be making most of the difference. I’d take that 800 for sure though.
Here's Johan with the JCM800 amp I have in a headshell (4210).
As he said, there is some diode clipping for added gain on the boost channel.
I think it's kinda an in between 800/900 amp.
Mine came with a vented T-75 in the combo.
The cabs I have are stock T-75's in the real 1922 and G12V's in the VS212
