What's going on in the food industry.
I can handle food recalls. It’s doors falling off airplanes that concerns me.![]()
Got that right. Have a problem on your car.... most times you can get over to the shoulder or get it to a mechanic. In a plane.... too many times someones getting hurt or worse.I can handle food recalls. It’s doors falling off airplanes that concerns me.![]()
And another one today.Yea, how does a guy forget ,to put the retaining bolts in the door..
Key word is industry. Profits before anything else, especially safety, because safety is expensive. It's cheaper to issue an occasional recall than to ensure everything going out the door is safe because doing so slows things down, thusly eating into the profits. Gotta feed the shareholders before the consumers after all.
In this particular case.... it was a sub contractor doing the work. They dropped the ball... so to speak. Not totally Boeing's fault other than the "buck" has to stop somewhere. Boeing still has the responsibility to put a solid/safe plane into the air. Add in, Boeing has had too many situations in the past few years. That points to a problem that frankly is solvable. Bad things are still going to happen...... but the problems they've been having to me are avoidable.Yea, how does a guy forget ,to put the retaining bolts in the door..
Oh.... you referring to the exploding Pintos from several decades ago. Ford lawyers and money people determined it was less expensive to pay the lawsuits than recall the car and fix the problem.Key word is industry. Be interesting to see what the FAA discovers on this one. Could be anything from structural failure to the pilot didn't get the door latched and locked properly before taking off.And another one today.

I love flying. Thousands of times safer than driving anywhere. You will note no crashes or fatalities. How many on the roads last weekend? Why ive never, and wont fly on a plane.Hell i live somewhat close to Boeing and still never been on a plane.
But ya never see issues with like, cake.Well fortunately no body died on that plane. Unfortunately 7 people died here and over 111 people seriously ill, from salmonella poisoning from Cantaloupe..
Silly people.
One difference between flying and driving is. When a plane goes down it’s 200+ people. Makes big news. A fatal car crash is 1-4 or so. Doesn’t even make local news in Chicago land.I love flying. Thousands of times safer than driving anywhere. You will note no crashes or fatalities. How many on the roads last weekend?
I can't wait to fly again!
But ya never see issues with like, cake.
Or beer.
So... forget the fruits n veggies! Stock up on cake and beer!!
