Thanks! I asked because you mentioned “trade”, and therefore value has to be considered. Personally, I have no experience with any AnalogMan infused pedals, but their reputation is one of the best. I’ve never ever have heard anybody post any dissatisfaction with their AnalogMan pedals. Good luck with the trade!

The pedal includes original box and paperwork from Analogman.
As far as value, the speakers I'm trading are a pair of G12M-25 GB's that I got used a few years ago for a ridiculously low price.
With the cash my way + pedal, I think I'm getting the modded SD-1 way below market value for my net cash out on the speakers.
It's going to replace a TS clone on my Ceriatone JTM45 board.
Looking forward to trying it out tomorrow night.
 
Picked up the Analogman SD-1 tonight.
Original box and Boss "stuffing" + an Analogman sticker & card.

Tried it out on my O20H board alongside the "regular" SD-1 that I already have.
Very similar with the mod off, and brighter with a little more gain when you flip the switch.

But its new home will be here on the Ceriatone.
This pedal pairs up nicely with the beefy, ass heavy JTM45 - as do mini-hums of the Firebird or LP Deluxe.

The latest entree on the menu for the dirt pedal buffet board.
Works great as a drive up OD with the amp clean, and as a drive down clean boost with the amp channels crankin'.

Good question - worth is definitely subjective, and I'm kinda a gear cheapskate.

I looked them up on Reverb to see what they were going for when it was offered as a trade for my greenbacks.
I have no idea what the charge is to have Analogman mod an existing pedal, but the ones for sale already modded are kinda out of the range of what I'd normally pay for a pedal.
But I see NPD threads all the time for pedals that cost more than I paid for some of my amps, and the buyer thinks they're worth every penny.

When I weigh the low price I paid for those speakers, minus the cash I got with the pedal, I'm in the upper range of what I've paid for some other pedals.
It's a great OD pedal and it's noticeably more aggressive than the stock SD-1, but so is the Joyo Ultimate Drive OCD clone, or the Demonfx BE-OD clone on that board at a fraction of the cost.
Would I drop two Franklins and change on one? - probably not. (IMHO-YMMV)

My mods on my bd-2 and ge 7 were around 80$ shipped back to me so if you already own a pedal well worth mikes group to do the mods
My ge 7 was a noisy critter now its so quiet and what a great clean boost or frequency adjustment an my bd-2 not just the sound changed for the better but i also feel it more when i play something i have noticed some pedals sound close but the feel i get out of it to me means something

That actually sounds fairly reasonable.
Not sure why most of the SD-1's I see for sale are $200+ for a modded $50 pedal.
I don't have noise issues with any of my Boss pedals.
I'd be curious what a modded BD-2 or FZ-5 was like, but not sure if I'm $80 worth of curious.

The pedal pairs quite well with my JTM45.
With this amp, I definitely like it better than the stock SD-1.
No regrets - I kinda only did this trade because I got something I didn't have for something I wasn't using.
 
Would you say the Modded SD moves the boosted EQ curve lower or higher? When used with level all the way up & not much gain. In my world a SD1 with slightly dif shift would be very welcome.

I have more than one Marshall and a few others (no F in the mix), and I find that pedals respond differently to each amp.
Hard for me to say that an SD, or TS is better with all Marshall amps.
I've tried different speakers with every amp.
I've tried different pedals with every amp.
I use different guitars with every amp.
So many variables in the signal chain, I think finding a mix from start to finish is sometimes a bit of dumb luck and random chance.
And there is always the possibility that I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.

Keep in mind I also use an EQ in the loop on almost every amp, and I make adjustments to everything depending on the guitar, the amp, the atmospheric conditions, and my tone mood.
I also change my rigs around whenever I have an idea to try something different.
The pedal board in the pic above is back on the O20 with the stock SD-1, and an MXR Modified Badass OD instead of the BE-OD clone.
Got the Analogman SD-1 on my Boss board with the JTM45, atm...

Cool, tone chase is so fun. I kinda go super simple on M's ,wide open circuit & 1 boost pedal. Somehow ever since i played the 1987 i regret getting rid off. Literally when plug into any Marshall & just get lost & the gain on the amps are oh so good .

Older pedals are getting rarer to find depending on pedal as they changed the boards so pedals must be prior to 2020
