The CM is pretty much a Junior with a carved maple cap.
The zebra pup makes it growl with a deeper sound than a P90
would. All in all it's an aggressive beast.
BTW this one came with the robot tuners witch I swapped for regular tuners almost right away.
Yes sir, specials--Jr's- Makers..the simplicity is where its at.. there's a raw feeling & maybe even the way you attack the strings with those animalsThose are awesome! I've never seen a CM, didn't know they made such a beast! How do you like the CM compared to the others?
My Tribute and Melody maker are killing my Standard. I'm pretty sure I'm going to sell it and buy a couple of new toys with the cash. I was thinking about another Tribute, but I see a few of the CMs for sale on Reverb right now. I also see they have a maple neck like my Tribute, and a thin body like my Melody Maker. Oh, man...I WILL have one one of those in the very near future! Preferably a 2016 without the robot tuners. I see they even made one with a trem and also an SG version. I'm trying to figure out how I've never heard of these.![]()
I like the 61's.Looks like it comes with a Burstbucker 61, that's the same pickups that came in my standard. I liked them, but ended up pulling them out for some higher output pickups. It's built pretty much the same as my Melody Maker (except with a maple neck) and I love the way that guitar feels and plays. So glad you posted this thread, man.
I have a 1990 studio in black. Not sure why but it's heavy. I had heard they had weight relief but maybe some do not.Nothing much to say about them guitars except they're great players !

My 2011 studio is kind of heavy as well, but not as heavy as the Traditional’sI have a 1990 studio in black. Not sure why but it's heavy. I had heard they had weight relief but maybe some do not.
I really want to weigh it just to know.
