I think the record is the third post that ran it off the rails and it was the OP that was responsible for the derailment.

As I recall...(which may not be correct!)...I started a thread and in the very first response (post #2), Adrian derailed it.

That was a couple years ago, however.

You may be correct. And it would be like Adrian. I was thinking more recent. Maybe back a few months.

I'm pretty sure as recently as a couple of months ago we had a post 2 derailment.

Although, Im proud to say, I started a thread that has yet to derail. Post #1809 and counting!! It is nigh impossible to derail!

Of course, the real test is to see who can bring the thread back on topic as gracefully as possible.

I'm pretty abrupt about it. I usually start off with something like, "Getting back to the OP...." It's not too subtle, but it works.
