Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder Exotic.. longest name & longest out of the box set up..lol..Spent the most time ever searching for what would be my guitar for my sound. Not easy cause i fluctuate in marshall circuits wide open & MiG 50 with pedals..way opposite amps. Well the why

Black Limba Body + close to mahogany but slightly more forward i hear..
Wenge neck-smack in the middle of the maple & mahog am used to, The pofile is C but in the middle..my hand size its very comfy
USA Schecter Sunset Strip bridge PU- JB like but clearer..excellent for my crunches & lead pops but they clean up way better than most hot pickups & on about 6 super classic tone
USA Schecter Pasedena neck- 59 but a hair more gain on tap but does the 59 thing around 7-8
Bonus ^^^ they both play clean & handle gain excellent
Set the floyd up perfect & have the action super low. Played through my songs. Gonna handle a good portion of set
Its balanced.its flawless from top to bottom & it kinda looks in disguise a bit-its a freakin fast neck & nasty sounding guitar that can go to blues & stratty anytime needed. Hard to get that but the wood combo just gives me that attack & feel & tone result that suits kinda all my guitars rolled into one for a super gig machine !!

Few observations

1) Once locked in nothing beats the tuning stability. I did spend and hour on set up & was way worth it. I kinda like setting up guitars & building cars is my zone

2) if you are Gibson oriented..this is a nice transition..the tone is not as shrill as some stratty things .

3) The Schecter USA pickups are excellent. There is classic stratish in there but so much clear gain after. Was able to play everything on it just with the knobs. Didnt even use many pedals. Had the most fun strait into the 900. Shredders are always great matches with Marshall's gained up

4) It will make gigging so easy. The tonal flexibility is kinda stunning

What's the fretboard? They say Ebony is really nice for a Wenge neck, but on my builds where I used it I had Ziricote fb, characterized as kind of a cross between ebony and rosewood.
Yes ebony. I was looking at the Ziricote model of this also. That's why i didn't get it because of your exact description, didn't want it on the top of the Black Limba body

I bet is sounds awesome.
It does, but the lure to me is I come from Gibson tone slant pretty much & used to that midrange punch into Marshalls. Its a sorta lower mid maybe & this does that but has a tad more slice than my Gibsons. Maybe right above it. I have been mostly using my SG & Jazzmaster J Mascis for band stuff & this sorta can do both but has more lead push & crunch than both of those. It really has me rethinking my guitars. Couple of these & some Jazzmasters & bunch of SG's and all would be well lol

Oh the 12-16 Radius compound neck is really a bonus. It truly does help , it has me playing in areas i dont visit much. Also stainless frets are smoother it seems. These type of guitars really do favor a player..i never took a deep dive before..sometimes have to come off tradition to experience better play ability.
