I'm okay at finishing, and have been a hack assembler for a while. But have done some fun projects. Ive done a few factal burn bodies and would probably do something like this.

Well I have a plan which requires a little neck swappin. But I have a Short scale warmoth conversion neck on another guitar that I want to give a try. It has a strat shape heel, but I'm pretty sure it will work. My only concern is if there is a gap because its round at the bottom not square. But if it does not work I will go from there. Do you still have (should have asked you this already) the neck that came off it?

A strat neck will work on a Tele body but a Tele neck won't work on a Strat body without some reshaping at the heel. if the fretboard extends past the end of the neck there won't be a visible gap, but if not there will be. Yes I still have the neck, it's Wenge with a Ziricote fret board.

Forgot to mention it's also a short scale conversion neck with a straight 12" fb radius, 59 roundback, 6150 frets and Schaller (non-locking black) mini tuners.

I'm honestly kinda impressed with how well it plays and sounds.
Much better guitar than my other builds.
Might be the custom neck that wasn't a cheap MIC Ebay POS.
Probably spent just as much time and effort on that walnut explorer.
But I never factor out dumb luck and random chance.
I've been kinda wanting a Filtertron pup guitar, and also kinda wanting a tele thinline without single coils.
It's a nice addition to the tone palette.
