Thanks guys! I’ll add, this is the youngest overall crowd we’ve played for. Often, our crowd is much older.
This younger crowd was very energetic and ready to jump and it made the whole night very enjoyable.
We like to say that our set list is “Dancing Through the Decades.” I tell folks that we do “Beatles to Beyoncé.”

Yes. It was definitely more spacious than many of the venues where we‘ve played.

Nice setup! I like lighting trusses but just yet more stuff to haul so we use 2 4xLED loghts at front. Same at back and still have some big Par 56s too. I use a foot controller that has an auto scene changer, I set scenes up ahead.
It's plenty to set up, for us.

We also have a smaller set of lights that are just on stands, like what you describe. Actually, we usually have to use those because you need enough ceiling height to use the truss. Fortunately, this venue had enough height.

Dog freaking gone it! I was really looking forward to this gig, too.
So, the band leader is talking to our booking agent about either doing a set list with the rest of the band that isn't very guitar heavy or rescheduling.
I'm pretty annoyed at this.

Thanks, guys. This is the second time I've had it. I had it almost exactly two years ago. I'm just irritated now. I can't help feeling like I've let the band down.
They've been very supportive. But, I still feel like I've let them down. I know it is irrational to feel that way, but...hey...

Was that gig near the end at Ocean Pines outside of Ocean City? My older brother and SIL have a house on the water there. Heck, they could have been there !

Yes. That was the Ocean Pines Yacht Club. A few months ago we started working with a booking agent who has been getting us some nice gigs. We did the last show of their year there, but they promised to invite us back when they reopen to live entertainment this new year.

Oh, we certainly try to tear it up!
We just try to give a a few hours of release and happiness to folks at the end of their trying week.
