This guy is funny.

Is Mr. 5 interested in electric vehicles and the status, projections, and the overall outlook of them??

The only thing, that I have that's electric powered in a vehicle, is my AGT golf car. You will never see me own an electric Automobile, never. ICE to the grave..:)DSC00500.JPG

For all but a couple years of my adult life I worked in sales, service and parts dealerships. Primarily farm tractor dealerships. Every time the company introduced a totally new model, to maintain company warranty status…. We were required to:

Send mechanics for training, at our expense
Required to purchase any special tools needed, also our expense.
Had a list of required parts to stock
Had a highly recommend list to stock
Had a list of “you might want these too.”

None of this was inexpensive. All of it had to be met before the company would let us put the new model on the lot for sale.

Continuing that thought. Have you ever wondered why that factory automotive or tractor store charged at least $50/hour more for service than the mom and pop independent business?

It’d be that they’re all required to send mechanics for continuing training. Yearly. Not just for new model releases. All at the stores expense. They’re required to maintain an inventory of special tools, which for the past 30 years include the diagnostic computers needed. Again. Store expense. Your independent repair places aren’t required to do any of that.

That’s the biggies. Bottom line is, there’s more overhead to unlock the front door daily in a factory dealership than there is in an independent business.

That guy has Gary Busey vibes
