What Are You Doing Right Now?

Lol I was complaining about it being 40.... You guys are coooooolld cold cold
PLUS 40 F? Literally shorts weather for some around here, time of year depending. No fooling.

If you think it doesn't really feel any colder once you hit like - 30 cause that's beyond belief, you'd be wrong. That cutting wind today at nearly - 50 C..... - 60 F. Just unreal.
But hey. We never had winter till Tues snow. Had above freezing 2 wks ago. Totally bizarre for here.
And more seasonal by Tues again. So 1 week of awful winter insread of 4 months

When I was in Winnepeg, it was -18F the first day we were there. It hurt to breathe. The second day, it warmed up to -11F, and breathing was less painful. We actually went skating on the Red River. I love how they drive Zambonis on the river making smooth pathways so you can go skating from bar to coffee shop to restaraunt, and so on. It's too late, and I'm too lazy to do the conversion, sorry.

A little Bushcraft breakfast out in the desert/woods.

Man o man!!! I use to love camping... half a lifetime ago. It's been over 30 years since I've camped out overnight. Dinner and breakfast over a campfire. At the ripe young age of 65, I'd be more into the glamping lifestyle now a days. It's so much easier to roll out of a bed than it is get up off the ground after sleeping on it all night.

I hear ya! The back is too worn out and stiff to sleep on the ground ever again.

I belong to the BushcraftUSA website and have earned 2 badges so far. So I'm often going out and practicing fire making and whatnot. I've learned a lot! It's so interesting to me.

You would probably appreciate the knives that @Sp8ctre makes..

Right now, I am one of the stupidest people in my state: we have an all 55 county wide state of emergency due to snow and freezing temperatures and what do I do? I take my company work truck to get a windshield replaced. Completely disregarding the state order to NOT be on the road unless absolutely necessary

Now, the good news is barely anyone else except for myself, was dumb enough to risk the roads today, so I got right to Safelite and was the first and only scheduled replacement.

Bad news, is it's pouring down the snow, temperature is 20F and falling to about 3F in the next few hours. We have an existing 8" of snow from Mon/Tues and now another 4-8" coming over the next 24hrs. Plus, though they loaded my car in the bay over an hour ago, they just now started on it. Compound that with the fact it takes about an hour to replace the windshield and another to be able to drive. I'm stuck here til at least 11:30
, as the weather gets worse lol.

So, there's a Burger King across the street and I'm the only customer inside, just drinking a coffee and watching the weather channel lol hey, least it's warmer than Safelite's frozen lobby!

Oops.

When I was lots younger I'd get out in that kind of weather just to prove I could. Now that I'm old I stay home and inside on a forecast.
