In Main Event Round #2 we had members @Ku² @Kerry Brown and @jtcnj on the low end of the points scale tied at five each. This made them eligible for a 3-way, (not the fantasy kind), and the Ku-Ku man revealed the challenge to create a "Punk" song submission in post #851 of this thread on which we now vote. They had 10 days to submit. Two made it.

Covers, originals, all were allowed, as long as it had a serious "Punk'd" flavour it's fully eligible.

All TTR Members have 48 hours to vote, one vote each, a blind vote so we know NOT who voted for whom.

I recently tweaked the rules a bit in the case of somebody failing to submit.
I initially said those missing points were to go to the winner. I did this to add extra incentive to actually submit, inject more excitement in the game, and a bit of game shame on those who fail to duel.

I now think it's fairer in a 3-way to split those points with all who submitted, the higher amount to the vote winner.

In a two way battle, all points to the single submitter. Moving forward in 3, or more, member battles I see it better as a mostly equal split of the spoils but favouring the vote winner. In a two way duel, where only one submits, ALL points to the winner. Nobody submits? No points awarded. Please understand RiffMasters is being invented on the fly and I did this in the interest of fairness to all competitors.

So, Kerry's "automatic" 7 lost by not participating will be divided between those who submitted as 4 points for winner, 3 points for the un- inner.

HOWEVER up for grabs now in this vote are also the original 14 for the winner and 7 for the runner-up in this challenge as per the board. Here's the two official "Punk'd" entries for your listening pleasure and judgmentification

Please note there were several other excellent punk'd entries all good for a single point.
If you care to, please add them to this thread to keep it bumped and musically interesting for all
TTR members who may happen upon it but remember we are only are only voting on the two above
As Kerry Brown did not make it in. He noted earlier that physical issues have hampered his ability to
perform this challenge. A solid enough excuse to not penalize him more than he is already experiencing.

@LiveeviL2000 I also wish to award member @Kerry Brown a SINGLE point for his Clash attempt in the other thread though it was not long enough to qualify for a real entry, if it would have made it, I would have posted it here to vote on.
But a awarding a single point says his effort and pain is worth at least a little something, and it's definitely worth a listen.

I have voted. I felt Jtcnj's submission was rock solid, maybe could have been a bit messier for legitness LOL!
However, as I understand it Ku made big effort while seriously under the weather to get his in the can early and I think it
turned out pretty pro, plus it's an original, and has plenty enough punktastic attitude/flavour.

I am adding my Round two "Punk'd Up" submission for which I have gratefully accepted a single point

Point was added to @Kerry Brown 's total

Wow ...two excellent entries. The only way I could be fair was to split the productions into different elements. They could both sing, so that pissed me off. Bad start, guys. Lol - jest kiddin'. jtcnj's production was near pro and his vocal timing and zest was spot on as if he was quite experienced in doing this. Ku^2 * pi * (R^2)^2 seems to be a bit of an extraordinaire type with good song writing ability as well as master instrument ability. His high pitched vocals show an awesome ability and that his falsetto is in great shape unlike mine that has endured cigarettes for many years. He pisses me off a bit on this because only I deserve vocal attention here. LOL. I didn't care for a guitar solo though in a short punk style song and technically jtcnj's production was better. I did vote for Ku^2 * pi * (R^2)^2 the first competition so it's going to have to be jtcnj's turn.

Fantastic job both of you. More than I could ever do in either case.

Mine was only a play along playing the guitar part only, panned left.
I thought it was obvious but I should have stated as such.

So when do we vote again?

Shhh... I'm thinking.
You know…I didn’t wanna ruin it for you. It felt “wrong”, no matter what I said. But more “wrong” if I had harped about it. You have paid @jtcnj a great compliment, imho, in that his guitar track DID fit the mix perfectly, and blended well in regards to playing style.
Well played @jtcnj !

Here are where we stand in the rankings as of right now. Names in Orange are not eligible for duels
@Kerry Brown moved into a tie for 6th, and was moved to the non-duel list.
@Mitch Pearrow SJMP is back in the race! no doubt he will be moving out of the basement soon.
@jtcnj and @Ku² are now duking it out. I believe win or lose, they will both overtake @LiveeviL2000 for the #1 and #2 spots.
Looks like my time in the sun is quickly going to end after this punky slugfest.
