What I call older Country

I am not much of Country listener, but i like this tune from Gord Bamford, Canadian Country Boy from Alberta, this has a catchy tune reminds me a bit like Big and Rich..

Cool tune, and I get the message too. The town I live in was 500 people for the 30 years I’ve been here has now become 3000 in the last 2. And no signs of stopping. They paved paradise.

My country listening stopped in the late 90’s. But I do like me some Stapleton.

Yes Stapleton is very good. And like you say Bamford sends a message that we can relate to..

I was raised on country music, back when it was still country music. IMO true country music died sometime in the 80s. Tom Petty said something along the lines of, "todays country music is just bad rock songs written by bad musicians" and I sort of agree, there are some great musicians in the biz, but country music ain't what it used to be, it died when it started to became popular.
