Get Ready

To this point I’ve used a couple programs to downsize size of a photo. I had a free version of Photoshop that came with a couple computers ago. Ran that under both Win98 and XP. With Win10 I’ve been using MS Paint. Not sure if Paint comes with Win11.
 
Me fix me fix...they change things around a bit.. Here's me new setup.. Ohh she's very fast on startup, and slightly quicker on the get go..

I noticed that on my wife’s new laptop. Now a couple years old. Faster startup. Not sure how much of that is Win11. Thinking more likely faster processor and SSD rather than a platter HD like in my laptop. Glad you’re enjoying your new machine.

I bet it's several things. Processor, solid state drive. However who knows what they change on start up. A fresh install doesn't usually have as many start up programs. Well on the older windows os there was a lot of programs running.
 
Yes solid state drive, I have to tell you, its fast, startup is bang you're there. My other unit took about 4 minutes to fire up..I am happy I have it now that its up and running. I have to buy a new flight sim though It doesnt recognize it. Software is too old 2011 lol

One downside. Some older favorite programs won't run on a newer OS.
 
Yes exactly. I was sure it wouldn't work, with the new system. My Tech didn't eithier, but like he said doesn't hurt to try...
 
Well I have to tell you my new rig is running fast, which is great, start ups are fast, HD images are a bit sharper. Happy I have made the move now. Get ready for the move boy's getr done as they say..
