Well. It is December in NE Illinois. It will snow sometime in the next several months. So thought maybe with this almost 50 degree day maybe I should check it over and make sure it runs. Second pull it started. Tightened some bolts. Good to go.

It was Honda day at Chateau IbLive. Changed the cabin filter. I have a cleanable engine air filter so am doing that….. however. Took out the engine air filter and found a mouse nest and acorns on the dirty side of the filter. Nothing made it to the engine. Got that all cleaned up and waiting for the filter to dry before I re-oil it. Fun times.

And apparently…. I like red.

And now. Sitting in front of the fireplace. Just chilling and trying to stay awake. After about 20 years we decided to change the fireplace. Hired one company to do the tile work and hired a carpenter to install the mantle. My wife found the mantle for sale that was saved from a 1920s house. Mantle needed some modifications to work properly and meet code. That was done Monday. First fire in our new old fireplace. Gets the pooch’s approval.
