Rolling Stones

The thought just came mind ...what if Zeppelin replaced Bonham, and carried on? Would that have been a good thing? What if AC/DC had just folded after Bon? Could the Doors have replaced Morrison? Nirvana Cobain?
All excellent questions. I will say with AC/DC. They did find a guy that could sing pretty darn close to Bon. The same? No. But surprisingly close.

Zeppelin? It would have been a disaster.
AC/DC? It WAS as disaster.
Doors? Nope.
Nirvana? Nope.

And I thought it was appropriate when the surviving Skynyrd members formed the Rossington Collins Band, but in really poor taste and frankly disrespecful when they started using Lynyrd Skynyrd again.

Agree with everything here EXCEPT the AC/DC part lol I loved Bon but I definitely am a Brian guy despite the grief he gets.

As for The Doors , they did do a couple albums without Jim, but it was just Ray and Robbie singing terribly. But there was a brief attempt of bringing over Ian Asbury from The Cult ( who even dressed and styled his hair like Jim) but this got shot down quickly by John Densmore in a lawsuit and they switched to " The Doors of the 21st Century" There is footage of some of their work together and its just a pitiful parody
