You guys are making me want to buy a new acoustic. I have some really nice electrics, but I've never had a really nice acoustic.
We’re here for you.You guys are making me want to buy a new acoustic. I have some really nice electrics, but I've never had a really nice acoustic.
Aside from my Dobro, I never owned a nice acoustic guitar. Until three years ago when I bought a Martin. Then, I bought a Taylor and an old Gibson Archtop. Now, I have three nice acoustics. Once you get one, you’ll want a couple more. You guys are making me want to buy a new acoustic. I have some really nice electrics, but I've never had a really nice acoustic.
I hear there’s some guy named Martin that makes nice ones :dood:You guys are making me want to buy a new acoustic. I have some really nice electrics, but I've never had a really nice acoustic.
Once you have a Martin, you'll wonder why you waited so long. I wanted one all my life but didn't want to spend the money. As I said above, my wife cured that yearning. Such a sweet instrument. You guys are making me want to buy a new acoustic. I have some really nice electrics, but I've never had a really nice acoustic.

I was thinking more along the lines of Taylor, but I don't know. There's a pretty nice guitar store near me that has a bunch of acoustic brands, Martin, Gibson, Taylor, Fender, etc... I think I need to take a pick and go spend some time in there.

Hello to All fellow guitarists. Let me preface this by saying I neither work for any guitar company nor am I affiliated with any; I am simply a musician and this is my experience. As a gigging musician going back almost 25 years now (yikes), I was always into the vanity of owning a big name branded guitar. Your axe becomes a part of your identity, like Bruce Springsteen and his Telecaster (which is actually a '52 Esquire modified to Tele specs), and Clapton's Strat. Acoustically you could say James Taylor and his Minnesota made James Olson or any number of a zillion Martin or Taylor players....Funny, Martin/Taylor is kinda like Ford/Chevy. When I bought my first acoustic, I had to have a big name, so I bought a Fender San Luis Ray. Chuckle. Big mistake as anyone whio knows about Fender's $150 acoustic guitars would know. It was a brassy sounding guitar anyway, but with the spruce top I thought it was a resonator! I then switched to MARTIN guitars, and felt like I had finally made it. Until..... I was browsing at Rupar music in Hibbing Minnesota - where little Bob Dylan worked as a kid (which is now closed temporarily due to the economy) and happened to pick up a Seagull S6 Slim QII. WOW...I could not believe my ears. The mellow warmth of the cedar top and the overall quality of the bracing system and innovative truss rod had me thinking it over. I ended up selling my Martin and buying a Seagull. Now... Martin is still maybe the best overall in terms of mass produced guitars, but for my taste and liking, this Seagull is the best sounding, most versitile guitar I have ever played in it's price range. I say that again, IN ITS PRICE RANGE. I am sure there are higher quality guitars, but really the true test is sound and playability, and to me this S6 is tops in both catagories among guitars I've played in my life. I just love it. Love the onboard electronics, too. I dream of owning a James Olson guitar and a Lloyd Laplante guitar (also unbelieveble, and he's a good friend, too) but my go-to workhorse is now and forever will be a Seagull. And no...I didn't get paid for this. Lastly, the guys at the factory couldn't be more accomidating. I wanted some custom stuff done, within the limits of what they would do for anyone, nothing special. they get back to you within hours and take care of you. What a pleasure. Highly reccommend! |
Sad really, my Son in Law works at Middletown hub as driver but this came from Lewisberry ground. We have ways goin on of mode of discovery.I feel for you. FedEx is my least favorite shipper. I would think that they have an employment requirement for the drivers to be able to read.
I’ve had Amazon tell me package delivered. Go look. No package. Go out a couple hours later. Package. Not sure what game the driver is playing. But so far I’ve always gotten my stuff. I’ve also gotten someone else stuff. And with Amazon. Don’t bother with trying to tell them. If you actually reach someone, they’ll just tell you to keep it and they’ll refund the other guy… or reship. Stupid.Mysterious new update on my tracking..it went from deliverd & signed at 10:24 to this all the sudden

The regular driver is cool, so much stuff comes here for work, we have fun when he guesses stuff. But what i ask my kids, workers & customers just tell me the truth so can diagnose & fix the problem..I’ve had Amazon tell me package delivered. Go look. No package. Go out a couple hours later.
