I chat with Ray over at the Kemper forum, and at another small site some of us started when the old PRS forum blew up. Met Ray at that old PRS forum so it was like old home week at the new place.
 
I remember when I first joined a couple years ago, or so, these guys were on regularly. Seemed like a party was always going on. Then they split and since it seems the place has turned into the back cover of Styx - Paradise Theatre. Kinda sad. Wonder why they bailed.

Don't know about Ray. I do know that Adrian kinda got dumped on at work. He basically doesn't have enough hours in a day to get everything done. Something had to give.

I'm still in touch with both thru FB. Generally thru the FB Messenger feature. For me, just felt I should respect their privacy. They have reasons and if they felt I needed to know they would tell me.
 
I think because they were mods they had to be on her a LOT and post as much as they did perhaps it just got too much.
That said, hopefully the rest of us aren't chopped liver so to speak and we can keep this place a fun place to hang. I don't think it is a crappy place to chill in spite of them leaving.
 
It's awful watching good communities die due to people not engaging or just plain losing interest and drifting away.
Without some form of participation / content creation by members and new interesting things going on these places are doomed.
With that, I am announcing a new game for TTR, "RiffMasters" if anyone is interested... see the Jam Room. Everyone welcome!
 
I also miss Ray and Adrian. It was their idea to start a forum and they recruited me to build it. I've seen a lot of changes in this place throughout the years. Members join, members leave, members die. Although Ray and Adrian added a great deal of valuable content, it is all of the TTR community that make this place what it is. My former partners are always welcome here and I have tried to remain in contact with them, especially to inform them about Robert passing. As for liver, not my favorite protein, however I have on a few occasions consumed liver and onions with guacamole.

Another mom story. She would make chili. She’d used stewed tomatoes out of a can. I’d eat it. Not really liking it that much. (It was the stewed tomatoes) If memory serves, we were at some dinner thing at church and I was chowing down on the chili. Made with sauce… not stewed tomatoes. Mom goes. “I didn’t think you liked chili.” And as politically correct as I could, said….. “I like chili Mom. Just not yours.” I did explain why, which I think kept me out of trouble. Bear in mind. I was in my 20s, married and had a kid of my own at that point.

Mom would bread and fry chicken livers in butter. Do the same thing with morel mushrooms. I could eat both. But mushrooms is another food I struggle to want to eat.
