Yeah, we get our share of deer too when the weather is warm. Here’s a family shot eating my wife’s plants in the front yard.

Putzed around with a guitar for a while tonight. Then I did some soldering. Baby steps for now, but wanted to started getting my brain and left hand re-engaged with each other. It was actually more a pain in the butt to cut, bend, and trim some of the short wires.

I've got great news!

We found a singer!

I joined this website called BandMix or something.... Was looking thru local area singers.
I recognized one girl right away.

She is the little sister of 2 boys who grew up with my 2 boys... She came through my school district. She's cute as a button and I used to call her sticks(she's real skinny lol)
Anyhow that website requires money to be able to reach out to the people, so I just texted my boys and asked for the older brothers numbers.... Got her number from them.
I Asked her if she's be interested in an audition for my metal band.
She just said "let's do it!"

Turns out she's been classically trained as an opera singer! Lol! So we are going to spend a lot of time adapting my songs for her, and her voice for us!

I worked with her for like an hour in my garage and we prepped a few songs for the audition.

Last night I took her over to meet the gang, she was very nervous, but still had this "it's now or never" kind of mentality about her.

She sang 5 songs for us.... I could tell she was super nervous but just killed it! The boys were so impressed they didn't even want to talk about it afterwards.... They just told her if she can bring some attitude, then the job was hers.

She was professional, but also giddy!

I took her out for a cheeseburger to celebrate and we talked a lot about bringing some attitude and how we have a lot of work to do in song choices and her learning a whole lot of new material in very unfamiliar territory.

The heaviest band she knew was Radiohead..... Ha ha ha . We played one song together with her last night, and late last night we picked out and ordered some quality ear plugs for her!

We are going to try to put together a quick picture sesh today so we can officially share it out to all the socials.

I'm the most excited! I can give my throat a rest!
 
Classically trained. Should check out the group Nightwish, a Finnish heavy metal band, with either the original singer Tarja or their current singer Floor Jansen. Both ladies have classical music training in their background. Not the same metal you guys are doing…. Just thought of them when you mentioned your lady is classically trained.

Yes! I sent her a couple videos from them...also from the band Epica.
We will probably be covering Evanescence -Going Under as well.

Then I showed her Angela Gossow with Arch Enemy ha ha ha.... Now that's a front woman!

I blame @guitarweasel for introducing me to Nightwish. I really like what they do. Totally different than anything I’d been listening to.
