Next steps:
New chassis came in today, a little behind schedule. I was back and forth on whether I wanted to build the controls directly into the chassis, or still into pedals that would attach permanently to the chassis. After messing around a little with some mockups, it was clear that the pedals attached would not be very user friendly. So I grabbed the CAD and started the layouts. Once I got that down, I put in my measurements and got ready for the work on the chassis.
I have no idea how I can do this, but I'd like to get some graphics put down on the pedalboard to help with layout. The chassis has a bit of a texture to it, so I think thin Vinyl graphics would not stick right, and I'm not sure if silk screen will work either.

BTW, I just have to say kudos to the four or five websites I frequently buy my parts from that seem to dangle that "free shipping" over a certain amount. Seems like I'm ordering something else every other day and adding crap I don't need just to get over that mark.

Went a little further today with the chassis build. I'm still waiting on some parts to be able to start wiring it up and testing. I have been working on another project, not guitar related, which has been taking up my time mostly.
I plan to do some mock ups and testing with the multiplexers before I start wiring this up. Hopefully they get here soon. UPS and Fedex have all my parts hostage at this point. I also still need to work out the LED circuit and programming. I don't want to drill the chassis for LED's if I can't get it to work the way I want it to.
I also realized I am short on some parts and after the mock up today, I think I am going to change some things up on the knobs and foot switches.
All drilled out except the back panel which will need a MIDI connector, power switch and power jack. It's going to use a standard 9VDC boss style power supply. I have a DC/DC converter to power the 5V electronics.
Fit some of the electronics in to see how things lay out and if I planned it correctly. So far so good.

Mr Postman delivered the last parts I needed to build this behemoth. I added the rest of the controls to see what it will look like and I like it. The Vinyl graphics I ordered as a test proved that the texture is too much so they didn't stick. Glad I ordered some as a test and not the whole set.
I have two toggle switches I'll need to pull from the test pedals I made so far. But other than that, it's almost ready.
This just looks cool to me but is going to be a wiring nightmare.
Top row of black footswitches will toggle the effect on and off, and one is for the Delay tap timing. Bottom row will be presets 1-5 and Preset up & Down. Top row of Red knobs will be for the amp settings.

Wiring day. Spent a considerable amount of time soldering the Pot boards and the cabling to each device. 49 devices to wire up. Oof
Drilled out the back panel for the power input, power toggle, and the MIDI port. Then got everything populated and started to clean up the wiring.
Tomorrow I'll land the processors and power modules. Then hopefully finish up the wiring and start the testing process.

Project complete
Finished the last bit of wiring today. Started the testing phase and once I figured out some issues with the Analog inputs, I was able to get the system programmed pretty easily. I do have one issue with the power input, but I think I am going to remove the DC input and add a USB connection. That way I can power the foot pedal with a standard usb power supply, and I can get to the programming port since it's the same. With the DC setup, I would need to open up the case to do any programming updates. Not that there's much to program, but it's an option.
The red USB cable is a temporary solution until I figure out what I want to do with the USB power setup.
I'm going to try to get a video set up tomorrow to show how it works with the plugin.
