So, this is the

We had about 1/3 coverage here. The clouds would have helped for photos. Had my camera with super long lens and heavy duty neutral filter to shoot sun.
Was overcast. So I ran a bath and chilled for a bit. Got out at 10:30 -which was the height of eclipse amd looked out window. Saw what McBlink did with lesss moon. A slight break in clouds.
WTF was I doing? Having a bath right then??? I got dressed fast and ran out front.
To no avail.
Clouds again.
So I missed it.
What a knob.

Didn't get the whole "ring" from here, but I did get to see 70-80%.

Traveled south for the 2017 total eclipse. That was really somethin'. Possibly traveling for the upcoming 2024 eclipse too. Not sure yet.

Snapped these when some light cloud cover presented an opportunity

That is awesome. The clouds help!

I DID get some of the previous eclipse a few years ago. Did a time lapse video too.

Back in 2017, they did a concert in Carterville, IL called Moonstock since it was directly in the path of 100% totality. Unfortunately, I was at the beach that day and only got like 70% of it. But the coolest thing was set up that day: they timed Ozzy's set for when the eclipse hit and he came out to Bark at the Moon which totality hit mid song. You cannot buy stage production this awesome! If you never saw this, you gotta check it out
