TVvoodoo's Straplab

New in the store tonight or tomorrow will be a pair of Rock-O-Dile straps. Beaufiful buttery pecan coloured cowhide embossed with a croc pattern, that has a positively eeeeevil glint to it.

Guitar forumite @fitz z picked hisself a pair of Well-Hungs, "Imperialist" and "Here Kitty" for this pair of absolute lovelies!

He says he's up to eight Well-Hungs now. I approve of this extreme brand loyalty! Long may you play in pleasurable comfort, and thank you!

OK the Magnificent Mr. Potato Head has one more chance to earn a FREE Well-Hung tee. Last try. He bragged earlier he could easily
answer any question I gave him. Sure he can. But can he answer correctly to earn the prize of a Cougar Attractor? We shall see.

Before that awesomely sexy AMC Hornet 4-door, and a Yamaha 175 enduro two-wheeler, I had a lively 4-legged drive below me.
I grew up on a ranch you see, and did all the ridin' and ropin' and roundin' up stuff all country kids learned back then.
Nowadays they use ATVs mostly, sadly.

But back in the late 70's early-mid 80's my best ride was an enchanting, beautiful and super smart paint. Pinto, as some know them.
He never once got spooked enough to throw me, was gentle but fast and agile when required, a cadillac gallop and a super hard worker.
We crossed many a stream, fixed many a fenceline and herded thousands of head of cattle over our years together.
I could almost go on autopilot while herding, he knew exactly what to do, always one step ahead of the dogies.

An amazing partner.

@Mr. Potato Head , use your yet-to-be-substantiated clairvoyant powers to conjure up the name of my enchanting equine friend & co-worker!
He is a beautiful horse!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........Timothy?
I see what you did there, Mister Bullsheet! Winners never cheat and cheaters never win y'know!

So, I ask this open question to you @Mr. Potato Head and more importantly, to the rest of the fiercely loyal W-H Warrior Tribe:
How can we initiate The Spudster into our clan, so he'll finally be able to strut around like a legit Well-Hung guitarist,
and not just a wannabe wishin' and a-hopin' type?

This question is vexing and perplexing me. Can we actually allow him talk the talk, without walking the walk?
Can just any charlatan guitar player jimmy into a beautifully badass W-H Tee, and then attempt to fully represent the brand,
the tribe, the Legion of The Hung, without actually knowing and realizing the many real and true benefits?

help me out here fellas

I can see that many others are more deserving of a shirt as they actually have a strap. I humbly withdraw my request to purchase one until such a time that I order a strap. Seems fair enough.

Plus, the truth is I already have enough trouble with soccer moms constantly ogling me, probably best not to encourage them any further!

Mr. Potato Head, you are an honourable man, and super fun to both jest and joust with! Special price for a brother when you are ready. Thank gosh we don't have to organize a telethon.

@67plexi - you gotta tell me these things, I like to shave a bit off for forum brethren. The Rock-o-Dile is a killer unit, thank you!

Hey Russell, I see your order, thank you... Tracking for you tomorrow, once it's enroute. Are you a straplocks guy?
-Brad

"I have not used strap locks but I just got a '60s Les Paul and definitely do not want it to become unconnected from the strap. I've never purchased a strap for this type of money but the guitar demands the best top quality strap."

Safe to say nobody wants any guitar to fall off a strap, no matter the value of the strap or the instrument... Generally, straplocks require a slightly larger hole to more easily accept the mechanism. The way the Gibson upper bout button is positioned and the smaller size of them on some years, you don't want a larger hole than necessary, this is why I ask. I will stay with my regular button hole size on your incoming Brimstone.

I believe you will find it satisfyingly secure, if a bit on the stiff side to slip on and off for a short while. Congrats on your vintage acquisition though! ...Wine red?

"That sounds fine and no, it's a cherry burst"

*** Sept. 29... strap gets shipped - tracking provided to customer ***

"I look forward to receiving this strap. That will make a fine addition to this guitar.

What's nice about heavy padding and the wide profile is I have a bad shoulder but love Les Paul's so got to do something to keep on
rocking."

Sept. 22
Yes, my own shoulder issues were a key motivator for me to begin working towards a better guitar strap back around 2009... that and all the straps in stores were too damn short!

"Well, I can't wait to get it. Holding off doing anything with a new guitar until I get a top flight in looks and performance strap. You have a lot to live up to... never my whole life played this much for a guitar strap."

"Good evening... I received your strap today and put it on my new Les Paul and it is spectacular. It feels wonderful and doesn't cut into my shoulder where I have a rotator issue and it's balance with my 10 lb 2 oz Les Paul is just perfect.

It doesn't allow any neck dive if you have any control over the guitar whatsoever and it's great. That being said I have a '65 strat original I need another strap for. It's an original three colors sunburst, just a beautiful guitar so if you have another strap like this it really goes with a transitional color between the dark black and brown. Is this something that could be done for me?

Thank you so much for your kind words & considerations for us older guitar players. Please let me know and I will do whatever you want to get this ordered.

Edited for brevity * managed to find another "Brimstone" in stock, (last one) *sends a link to customer*

"Thanks for giving me the heads up on that. I was able to get it and I'm very happy.

I have a 3-in. wide strap with big white fuzzy nap type material on it and yours sits in place doesn't shift and doesn't hurt. It doesn't fold together in a "v" or act like a knife cutting in between your shoulder blades. I will see how it is in 6 months. Hopefully it retains its shape or you may hear from me to build it up even more, both of them. You have a good one."

Doing it one Well-Hung warrior at a time.

I do notice that your signature strap buttons require an opening commensurate with the size of the strap button , thereby negating their actual performance. Maybe elliptical?? Just an opinion.

@Mr. Potato Head regarding the posts, you would think so right?
The thing is, Pro-Pins work quite easily with every stock brand of strap I've tried them on without mods, including Levy's, Dunlop, Dr. Song, EB, Epivio, and others I don't rightly remember names of.

So which button do you think any one of those slings would slip off first particularly on straps that have seen lots of action?

It's not just me... other guitarists who adopt see them as game-changing too. Check the Reverb feedbacks, the link is in my signature.

I wish you all kinds of happy guitarin' however you choose to do it.
