My little Podunk town of 6,000 doesn't do much for anyone here and it's as about as dead as Disco. But, the one thing they DO actually do for the people is hold a festival every Labor Day Weekend called the Oak Leaf Festival. Usually car shows, a parade, carnival stuff mostly but the last few years they began booking tribute bands from across the country to play at the town amphitheatre. Last year was Escape, a Journey Tribute act that was pretty good really.

This year however, they booked a group out of Nashville called 7 Bridges that they proclaim is THE premier Eagles Tribute act. While the drummer filling the role of Don Henley was a bit too Nasally and Hickey to pull off the Henley vocals, everyone else was actually surprisingly great and they used the proper gear mostly. The best however, was their Joe Walsh tribute player: an Australian by the name of Richie Scholl. Guy had the tone down to a science and the vocals were pretty spot on too.

I've admittedly never been a big Eagles fan, though I do like a lot of their stuff. Mainly the Don Felder/Joe Walsh years that gave them a big kick in the ass and made them more rounded in my opinion. Honestly, I'm a big time Joe Walsh fan in general and think he's one of the most overlooked when mentioning all time greats. What I liked about this tribute band was they did A LOT of Joe Walsh solo stuff because hey, the crowd ate it up.

Here's a few clips of them, just thought I'd share! Excuse the audio and weird angle of the last video, dunno why it didn't correct it.
