Rusted

This is either a score or a mistake but I need a change up for my recent Dean "V"
in the bridge position of course.
It has a slight imperfection.
Meet " rusty" and a rat tail lead.

I was hoping the screws are not rusted in so I can remove them. The plastic even looks bad. It's suppose to work.

I've seen worse that still work. A bit of metal polish will clean the plastic.

Def into seeing that that go in the V. So glad i kept the Dean V. SD Screamin Demon in bridge, since i rally dont use boost pedals & basically set & forget, Use the hotter V for heavy stuff for the clarity in the break

You can take a small piece of aluminum foil, wad it up and buff it across the screws to clean them. It won't really scratch the metal up like Steel Wool would, but it cleans surface rust really good. I would probably try to remove them from the plastic housing first though, because it will scuff up the plastic however.

To clean the plastic? Soak the pieces once separated, in some Dawn dish liquid and gently scrub them with a light brush. After that, wipe them down with some Armorall

I love my Dean's"V's. I always have.
I revisited the JB in my cheap V and it is good but I plan to put un-orinted alnico 5 in it.

Killer look!
I'm not really in to Ceramic magnet pickups but from what I have heard on youtube it rocks.
You can imagine this pickup was not expensive.

I actually have some stuff to remove the rust but they would have to be removed to submerse them.
