Took my Crate stack in today and traded it for this King V. I saw this hanging in the shop last weekend when i dropped my Randall stack off and have been looking at it online every day since.

I ended up paying a little bit for it, which the wife was not happy about. But I like it and it's easier to move than a big stack I'm not using. I'll have to replace the knobs and eventually the pickups, but for now, it's very nice to me.

The place I got it from:

Diablo Guitars

Very cool place. They are appointment only, no windows to the outside world, just hidden treasure. The guy today was telling me to come by anytime and just plug into anything. He points to a Fender Tele and was like, "just like this one." 1962 Burst tele, $40,000. I politely declined. No way I'm even touching something like that.

Coolest guitar I’ve ever hand in my hands was back in the late 70s / early 80s. Was a blinged out Martin. At the time one could buy a really nice Martin for 1000-1500 bucks. This thing was 10 grand. And yes. I played it. Sounded just like the $1500 one I’d just been playing.
