I did finally get the old 1973 Goldtop. I did want something with some "mojo" as in it is and LOOKS 50 years old. I just think it's kinda cool. I like where goldies go green
So a 1973 Deluxe, has the Mini HBs, I ordered a hotter version already, has some finish checking but also some finish cracks that I like. A bit of arm wear getting slightly green. I don't have to be quite so careful with this one. Back has some worming but no finish removal anywhere. You can see the pancake body. Around 9 lb 10 oz, really hefty. Output jack plate replaced with a metal one, very well done.
Thankfully for the Well-Hung guitar straps!!

Plays great, stays in tune... the lil minis are rather anemic compared to full size so will try the hotter ones. Haven't ABd it yet to say the 76 Custom, which is full size but low output non potted. There is a brighter tone to the minis as they cover less string so to speak.
Will see. Will be fun. I like the look of a 50 year old guitar. The 76 was under the bed mint so kinda cool, to me.
I won't live long enough to be able to have my other guitars get that well used.

Jethro, that thing is awesome. What wear it does have is minimal. That is a keeper beyond most I've seen. Does it play as good as it looks?

I like the wear on it. Some bare wood wouldn't bother me any. It plays really well, stays in tune.
Heavy. Look forward to trying the Mojotone gainy pickup. And comparing to others in the stable.

I looked at so much. And never saw this. That looks great!!
Perhaps cause I only looked at Mini HB instead of P90 replacements.
