I found this video very interesting, if not just for the fact his approach to his tone is unique and minimalistic.

If you want to skip to the part where Brian May talks about the guitar he built and still plays primarily, skip to the 13 min mark.

One thing I find incredible, maybe even unbelievable, is that he says the guitar has never had a re-fret. How could that be, assuming it really is his primary player?!

 
Ive watched this one before,yes very interesting and ya one would think it would have no fret left.

Interesting video....especially the no re-fret issue. I've played my 1987 Stratocaster since new. It has never been refretted, but its been leveled 3-4 times. Frets are super short now. Could Brian be doing this too???

Wow...the part about building the guitar....so amazing...there is nothing like creating something and then playing it or driving it. What an interesting guitar!
