Have you ever tried using Genuine Oil? It's Birchwood-Casey stock oil, but has a satin finish.

The satin stuff I'd probably just use on the back of necks.I've never tried it, I've never even seen it. I don't normally like satin finishes because of the way it gets shiny in places where you touch it the most. Don't know if the oil would do that, but I still probably wouldn't try it.
I haven't. I have only used Tru-Oil. Have you?Have you ever compared the Genuine Oil with their Tru-Oil?
Same here. Only Tru-Oil on a couple guitars and a pine 1x12 speaker cab. Really like working with it.I haven't. I have only used Tru-Oil. Have you?
I have a Jackson body I've been threatening to refinish for a few years and an Epi Paul that has been beaten to hell and back that I want to repair and repaint. I may try the satin oil to finish the top of the Epi Paul for gits and Shiggles.Same here. Only Tru-Oil on a couple guitars and a pine 1x12 speaker cab. Really like working with it.
If you do please post a pic. I'd like to see what it does.I have a Jackson body I've been threatening to refinish for a few years and an Epi Paul that has been beaten to hell and back that I want to repair and repaint. I may try the satin oil to finish the top of the Epi Paul for gits and Shiggles.
