For a different project I've been working on, Googled and found some photos of some of my first cars I owned as a new driver (got first license in 1970). Had to do the Google machine since I don't seem to have any actual photos of them. Thought I'd share. Y'all join in the fun and post some of yours if you would like to play along.
1. 1960 Olds Super 88 bought from my Dad for 50 bucks. Had either a 371 or 394 4bbl. Don't remember.
2. 1967 Ford Galaxy 500 - 390 2bbl
3. 1970 Dodge Charger - 318 2bbl

Both the Olds and the Ford were really close to these colors. My Charger looked exactly like this.

Though I often refer to my "first" car as my 1971 Chevy Nova, I actually had another car before it.

The Nova was the first car I had when I got my driver's license. However, before I got a driver's license, I had a VW Beetle. It was black with a "narrow-eye" Baja kit on it. It had the exposed engine in the back with the engine cage around it. But, I gave that car to my brother-in-law's sister before I got my license.

My third car was a 1969 Camaro RS/Z28 302 cross ram induction friend of mine was going to jail
got a sweet deal sold it saved the cross ram intake and carburetors then in collage sold the cross ram system
my first new car 1976 RS Camaro 350 4 speed next new car 1978 Corvette 350 4 speed I was into Chevy's
my wife was into Mustang's first was a 1969 Boss 429 then it was Shelby's
Anna's favorite car 1968 Shelby GT-350 I sold it to Ford after her death.

Y'all are old lol. My dad had most of those muscle cars, and a few others. Until I was about 2 years old, he had his own auto body business, painted a lot of cars, pounded dents out of others, and got a lot of sweet deals through that business...and somehow, my first car was a 1980 Subaru GL Coupe....that we took away from grandma when she hit a certain age and couldn't keep it between the lines anymore lol

That car was tough as nails. I jumped it, hillclimbed with it, and generally treated it like a rally car. Kept up with some of the 4x4 trucks out in the dirt too. Eventually pulled the engine for the purpose of mounting it on a sandrail.

Jeez... set the bar high... what super muscle cars...

Had an orange 1970 Datsun 510, then a primer grey n red one. Around 1979.
Engine, eh? Um, no idea but I do remember the 95 hp spec.
They did neutral drops ok.

Datsun 510 GT4 race car. This was not my first car but it was my most fun car to drive. The picture is from my first race. The car had a lot more done to it before it was crashed beyond repair. 1.6 liter, high lift cam, 14:1 compression ratio, fully ported and polished head, dual Mikuni carbs on a custom built intake manifold, custom headers with a 4" exhaust (had to add a small thrush muffler to meet the noise restrictions at my main track), 135 hp @ 6,500 rpm, 280z 5 speed transmission, 4:11 welded rear end, 280Z brakes, springs cut down to about 4" of travel, I think the struts and rear shocks were Koni but not sure, fiberglass front quarter panels and hood, fiberglass door panels, fiberglass trunk lid with spoiler, 10 gallon race fuel tank. 1650 lbs with myself and 5 gallons of 114 octane fuel. Top speed was limited to 105 mph by the gearing but it got there pretty fast. it's forte was cornering. It ended it's life when it was t-boned by and Oldsmobile Calais during a practice session.

Ha Ha, can't find the pictures. Must be on my old Macbook. I'll fire it up later and add the picture.
