I bought a nice used Hakko unit. 2 thumbs up. Great customer service too.

That's the Weller WLC100 soldering station. About $40. I've had mine for just about 15 years. It's on its second soldering pencil, and I'm noticing that this pencil is starting to fade in performance. It will eventually give up sooner or later. And when it finally gives up the fight, I plan to upgrade to Weller WESD51 Digital Soldering Station... $140.
