What's on Your Workbench?

This is my 2013 60s Tribute that I redid the finish on several years ago, the stain job I tried to do was a disaster so I just sanded it back down and tru-oiled it natural.. I'm thinking about something different now...maybe black. :hmmm:

I decided to finally change strings on my Flying V. Since I've been playing my Firebird, Les Paul, and a couple of other old guitars lately, I decided that I would plane the frets down a bit because they are too tall. I really don't like big, jumbo frets. Took them down to about .038"-040". I almost wish I took more off of them. Now, down the rabbit hole of having to crown, file, polish, and buff all the frets. And, rework the nut. What was I thinking? I have way too much other stuff that I need to be doing.

Then of course my other workbenches would be far different repair type stuff like my Amps that need completing.

However, taking care of my mom till she died took priority, now it is our leaking house roof and HVAC, Electric, 2 bathrooms, flooring, windows and doors, and major yard work, landscape clearing type stuff that our place needs.

And a chimney demo'd and rebuilt, and one other that could use total demo and disposal since this house is from around 1850.
Then Oh yeah, I would love a large garage to put my work benches in. Oh yeah, and my lawn tractors and snow blower and TRUCKS and CARS.
This will take an act of God because we unfortunately live in a Historic District.

Well, there's nothing on my bench, i am pleased to say!!!

The very last customer guitar - a Hagstrom bass with a headstock break - finally went home to it's owner recently and i have zero plans to do any repairs commercially.

I still maintain and curate for a few select industry friends, but, its a very narrow scope these days.

The guitar workshop has now been turned over to my wife and its become part of her crafting empire.

Where guitars were once built, now there is only jewelry, t-shirts, mugs and other such things being produced.

Here's an example of what's coming out of the guitar shop these days...
