Not sure where to post this but family took me out to eat today. There was a Guitar Center next door so wandered around there for a while. They actually had a pretty good selection of guitars. Didn't feel like walking out empty handed but was realizing everything I buy or consume in my hobby I usually get on the internet (usually cheaper too). Ended up getting a couple bags of picks since I couldn't find anything else i needed. Thought might be fun to try out some different styles so picked up a bag of the....

Artist Variety Pack:
Eric Johnson Jazz III
Joe Bonamassa Jazz III
Kirk Hammett Jazz III
John Petrucci Jazz III
James Hetfield Black Fang
Animals as Leaders Prime Tone

And then also a Jazz III variety pack with 7 different types:
regular red nylon
stiffo black
Ultex
Black Ultex 2.0
White Tortex 1.5mm
pitch Black Tortex 1.14mm
carbon Fiber max-grip

Anybody use these picks? I have used the regular Jazz IIIs, the Ultex, and the Hammetts. I think the Bonamassa is just a regular Jazz with his name on it. Disappointing. Excited to try the rest, especially the Eric Johnson.

Naw that is O.K. I have considered getting one of the Chinese copies though........
 
Let me know how that works out. ESPs don't have great resale value so you could probably get a legit used KH-2 for the price of a couple copies.
 
considering the copies are under 400.00.....and they offer bulk discounts .....I could get a bakers dozen for the price of a new KH-2
