Long ago dablings...

I started quite young with planes, as I got into my teens it was WWll armor, big rigs, dragsters, funny cars, HO scale trains, nascar , lot of fun .
After I got into cars, I never threw away anything I didn't use to build the initial kit. I still had boxes of some of those pieces and parts up to a few months ago when we did some attic cleaning. They went to the landfill.

I still have 2 tackle boxes of parts for the trains , plus decals, all the extra parts from the Tanks, Trucks, got tossed many years ago.

I still have a huge selection of decals for some of the nascar builds as well, as a couple of incomplete builds.

Know the feeling. Still have a couple unfinished kits as well. Maybe someday.

Eyesight, lucky there. I’m near sighted. Need glasses for distance. Close up stuff still no problem. I can still thread sewing needles.

Pre-teen I built quite a few planes and ships. Primarily WW2 stuff. Some of them pretty cool. Then this idiot kid (me) decided it would be really cool to blow the ships apart with my BB gun. One of them may have been the Bismarck. It has been a while ago.

The same fate was met by the Tanks that I had built.

But much later in life.. I had my sons help me with the destruction of them all.

Sad to say they were all Tamiya brand models, that ran off of battery power
