Best Singer? Best Front-man?

Of the many, many, many bands I've seen live, two stand out. Freddie Mercury was awesome. However, Steve Marriot is still the greatest rock and roll singer of all time. I saw him solo and with Humble Pie. No one ruled a stadium or theater the way he could. He had the entire package. Soul, scream, moves, great player, and phenomenal pipes. And he could put the "Roll" in Rock and Roll. The thread should have been called "The greatest singer who isn't Steve Marriott."

Steve ruled, dude ...

Daltry did cross my mind as front man/singer. And this is a good song and video till Townshend starts smashing things. Never understood it. Never liked it. Still don’t.
That specifically, I have no idea why but it must have been something they thought was entertaining at the time.
Obviously destroying your stuff is dumb but if you like buying more or getting the record company to pay for it. Have at it.

I saw an interview with Rod Steward and he said they mainly trashed the hotels due to disrespect from management. They would not provide them room service and whatever else while they visited.

I do believe this but I think the big truth probably cuts more down the middle. Meaning I'm sure the bands were not very patient with their demands and they were probably grossly beyond reality and sought more to "run" the employees more than anything else.
