Heck no it was a sweet 710 and it was not fixed up. This isn't the exact one, but you get the idea

Looks a little like an AMC Spirit.

At the time. Thought a 240 would be a fun car. Basic. Barbaric. A step up from Fred Flintstone. The 260s, 280s, 300s just got too nice and refined. But the feeling passed and I bought a Chevy Monza instead.

My first was a 1960 Chevy pickup long bed with a 3 speed on the column. I wasn't fixed up. I took my driving test in that thing, barely passed the 3 point turn around without power steering and I couldn't parallel park it because it was so long. The guy testing me said he wouldn't be able to do it either so I passed, lol.

Yep. A reskinned Vega. Being sold at the same time. Consequently. The Monza rusted in all the same spots as did the Vega. The redeeming feature in mine. A 305 small block. That was fun.

I remember the Monza , my bud had one.

It was fun. To change the back two spark plugs on the drivers side. Had to loosen motor mount and jack the engine. Steering box blocked getting a wrench and socket on them. And a couple on the passenger side was only accessible from underneath. At least changing oil was easy.

At one time I was thinking Porsche 924 as well. That feeling also passed.
