Yes, it's quite nice, it was painted by some badass painter that worked for Bourget Bike Works, to replace those tins with that paint job would be about 10k...Sweet bikes!
Love the paint job on the first one.

Mine was an impromptu race with about six guys on a private track.. all we’re younger than I, but I did get the hole shot and won 2009 .My last motocross race was 1975.
Other than the almost t-bone episodes. Closest I came to a crash was having a back tire deflate in a hurry. Used all of my lane getting control, ultimately ending up in the ditch….. mostly still upright. No panic. Just let the bike tell me where it wanted to go and hung on. Never hit the brakes till I was in the ditch. I may have clutched it. Twas a very long time ago. Had my future bride on behind me. To her credit. She didn’t move a muscle till we got stopped. That alone is probably why we didn’t go down and get hurt.Ewwwwh, that looks painful, I've had one spill, slid on some gravel. Sprained my ankle when bike slid out from under, luckily that's it, knock on wood...My dad on the other hand has wrecked every bike he's had, I think....
We’re you on a Honda.. because that Elsinore was a bad ass bike.My last motocross race was 1975.
Yep. Not my actual bike… but what it looked like. It was a 1974 and most definitely out classed when I was racing it in 1975. But I didn’t have cash to upgrade to a better bike. We’re you on a Honda.. because that Elsinore was a bad ass bike.
I used to race at a place in Pomona called Claud Osteens and it was an outdoor track with multiple elevation changes,, my pride a joy CZ 125 was out classed and outdated by 1975.

My buddy Russell had the SL100 a 1972.My first bike Mitch. 1972 SL125. Again. Not my actual bike. Don’t have any photos of it. Beat the poop out of that thing.

I still have lingering issues from the dirt.
And I quit in 2010..

We also had a 1973 SL350
Ours was a lighter color but it was more orange than red.My two buddies I rode with, their dad owned a Honda shop, those guys had different rides every couple of months, the youngest guy who was my age had a 125 Honda S and the older brother had the SL 350, his was Orange it was such a gorgeous bike, and that awesome mello but distinct sound that came from those pipes. Will always remember that machine.
The suspension was fantastic, but built for the street mainly with capabilities of doing some off roadin.

It was on.... or maybe I should say off..... the SL125 that I did an over the bars dismount for the first time. Gave myself a concussion on that one. Didn't learn anything, still rode like an idiot.A great trail bike, good torque and power, yet not overpowered..

Yeah for sure. The 500 was too much for most people The 750 was just stupid dangerous. You want dangerous, I have rode one of these Kawasaki 750 FFFFAAAAST!! so darn quick, you really had to hold on tight while you cracked the throttle, you had better be on your game. My brother in law had one like this .. When we went to the drag races. There was a guy who raced one like this stock against so called fast cars, they didn't hold a candle to this babay, he just blew them away.

Ah, so that's the Dangerous R6. A Yamaha, not a Les Paul.
My old bike. Bought it for my 20th birthday, and still have it 40+ years later.

Also raced this monster many years ago. I'm the driver, not the monkey.
