First show evarr

Congrats, @mcblink !

How long of a set did you play?
About 25 minutes was all it was.
The lady I asked to run the phone for video forgot to record the first song lol

Well you sounded great! Loved the soloing and the rhythm was tight. Thought it was cool you managed to get a small mosh going lol
Right on, thanks!
There's a lot of room for improvement, but I think perhaps the hardest part was just taking that first step and just doing it!

I guess we did well enough to be invited back!

Honestly I'm a little glad it's over, I'm kinda looking forward to getting back into writing mode. We've been grinding on these songs for over a year and frankly, I'm kinda sick of playing them for right now.

I am pleased with the response to our original stuff though, I wasn't entirely sure it wasn't gonna bomb, and I certainly didn't expect the crazy kids to start moshing a little bit, that was fun.

We were a little bit out of place. Most of the groups were cover bands, and we were sandwiched right between a country band and an acoustic trio, nothing that even resembled metal or really anything harder than AC/DC.

Congrats! Bet you're hooked on playing live now.
It's definitely a hell of an experience!
We're talking about playing the biker festival out in the sticks coming in June.

Actually that was supposed to be our first gig, that same festival last year. But instead I crashed a dirt bike, broke my knee, ended up in the trauma center for a week, 3 surgeries and months of sitting in a wheelchair and hobbling around on a walker and crutches....that set us back quite a ways. But finally, I'm back on my feet and this whole shitshow is finally moving forward.

Yeah, I definitely wanna do it again!

Thanks Kerry!

Sounded really good!
Remember too the crowd doesn't know the songs.
One per peeve for me. Everyone records everything vertical these days even when it is a horizontal scene! Not to sound complainy. Good to have video though!
Now you are hooked!
I know, right?
2023 and people still record vertical!
And, she forgot to record the first song.

She did me a favor by recording anything at all, so I can't complain, I appreciate that she did that for me.

But, yeah!

Absolutley! We can't complain. Just a note as a pet peeve for me. Better to have that than nothing big time!
Good for you guys, sounds like a good time for you!

Dude, none of my pet peeves, too!

Every time I see someone record one of our gigs and who is holding the phone vertically, I want to go show them how to hold the phone!
For decades, people shot everything horizontal on film.
"Can you crop this so the sides are gone and the people are closer up?"
Now, with a phone, for some reason everyrhing is vertical? It does not seem logical to me. Only for vertical subjects does it make sense. Do phones not go sideways? Hard to hold somehow?
Especially when sent specifically to be aired on tv, which happens to sit...um.. horizontally.
I shake my head.

I am happy for Blinky though. He is hooked now.

On phonics.
Which, ironically, is not pronounced phonetically.
Carry on...
