Notice Rudder Lenners on drums, way back.
That is a great song!Might a swell play the next one up from yootoob
Me too. I like the Blackout lineup better myself. Less pyschedelia. But I still like the old stuff too.Uli is a trip. They were definitely a different band with him. Personally, I think he worshipped at the altar of Hendrix just a little too much, and I prefer the M. Schenker days, but damn he did make that a unique band in the early days.
I saw this tour, and he and his band were amazing. I've seen him the last few times he's toured the states, and it was top notch every time. Got a chance to meet him once, and he is really funny and warm to be around. He's a very nice guy to say the least. That cd is awesome! If you guys don't have this recording, I highly recommend it.Uli does modern versions of the old versions. Very good tone and it was recorded in the building where Scorpions rehearsed back in the day. I like the vocals also, not Klaus but the guy can sing. Yellow Raven, Crying Days, Sun in My Hand , Polar Nights!
That is a great song, I saw him several times as well before revisited but that tour was long awaited. He had a young guitarist playing all the rhythms. I don't remember his name but the kid was quite good.I do think that show blew my hearing out.I saw this tour, and he and his band were amazing. I love the version they did of this song.
His entire band for that tour was a German band Crystal Breed. I bought their cd at one of the shows. Niklas Turmann was the singer and played the black Strat. David Klosinski was the wild animal on the white Sky Strat. He's a highly regarded instructor and session musician in Hamburg. He won the Crossroads Guitar Award in 2021, which is how he ended up meeting Uli and becoming friends with him. They are all who he's pretty much stuck with since 2015. They do their own things, then play Waken, several other festivals, and tour with Uli. Sounds like an awesome gig. That is a great song, I saw him several times as well before revisited but that tour was long awaited. He had a young guitarist playing all the rhythms. He was obsessed over Hendrix but in the end I think that the drive he had made him a super talented player beyond the average Hendrix fan and there are as of them as EVH fans. He was a bit over the top but he is a zen player now.Uli is a trip. They were definitely a different band with him.
