Back in May, some friends and I put together a set of songs from the first three Blue Oyster Cult records. A friend of ours had passed away a few years ago, and the band he always wanted to put together was to cover the "Black and White" era B.O.C. records. So, with four practices, we played a memorial show at the Midway Café in Jamaica Plain, MA.
Some of it is rough, but the songs were all difficult to play. And, our guest vocalists never materialized, so I became the lead singer (and had to play the stuff too!!!!). Actually, Paul Caporino from M.O.T.O. did do some guest singing.
Enjoy! These were the only songs to get recorded that night.
Our complete set list was:
Transmaniacon MC
She's as Beautiful as a Foot
Career of Evil
Harvester of Eyes
Astronomy
Dominance and Submission
ME 262
OD'd on Life Itself
Don't Fear the Reaper
Born to be Wild
I can't believe that we were able to pull most of it off with only four practices.
