The Most Hilarious Gibson Bashing Video I've Ever Seen!

Or, I could just use my Les Paul!

But, that's not my style. I'd probably just engage in a dialogue about her music, her preferences, what drives her thinking, how she got started playing guitar...that sort of thing.

It probably wouldn't get very many views because there wouldn't be any "zinger" moments.
Either you're more professional and kind than I am or I'm just too jaded and don't give a damn. Probably an equal mix of both if I'm being fair lol

Who’s Twooba?
Popular opinion: " A lovely, vibrant young guitarist with a witty sense of humor. Not a fan of traditional guitars or guitarist, but the voice of a new generation!"

Mike's Opinion: "It's this very hate filled Jelly Monster with a NY Strip for a tongue and greasy hair matted up under a beanie, who hates any guitar solos and really trashes on Gibsons when she's clearly never owned or played one. I.e , my nemesis"

Well all righty then.

I also had to ask my kids who this Adele person was that was getting all these Grammy nominations a few years back. They were aghast I didn’t know her. I don’t listen to Pop music….. what can I say??

I would not urinate on her if she was on fire. Why interfere with natural selection???

Subsequently, i can usually tell within 30 seconds of hearing someone speak, wheteher wasting another 30 seconds of my day is warranted.

Most arguments have zero merit. This is an example of one such endeavor....

Again, own anecdotal observations are that the youngsters that are actually in bands and leading the charge for hard rock/rock (guitar-based) music are def into the classics. Check out this Guitar article and tell me if these kids are shunning Gibson and Fender:

I think Covid changed the game actually. With all that time on their hands a lot of young people who were already playing got a lot more serious about playing music and a whole new generation started learning. Guitar music, specifically rock, isn't going anywhere any time soon.

The first three are wielding Gibsons!

Where I think some of that started to change was with those indie bands that are not pursuing rock. Of course, the term "indie" technically refers to just being independent, and not associated with a specific music label, so any genre could be "indie".

But, since there are no specific labels to please, indie artists are more free to take pretty much any approach they want. Breaking with tradition or convention and pursuing a quirkier path is more of an option.

It may affect their listenership, but they can always put something out on Bandcamp, or some other platform.

6 out of 9 with Gibsons (I'm counting JJN's Epiphone). And a Strat with a rack behind.

I've been checking some of these bands out and they are all pretty great. Sounds like the '70s again - pass the bowl.

I see 4 Strats and 4 Teles

Ah yes, the "starter" or "kit" guitars ;)

Joking aside, the overarching point I think is that the kids are playing the classic style instruments and also, and more importantly, playing throwback hard rock.
I know music, like a lot of things, runs in cycles. The good news is that most all music cycles eventually come back to distorted classic rock n roll/hard rock and metal too for that matter. There are periods and eras where the well runs dry and we sadly enter dark times where trendy flavor of the month bands run the show for a little while. But eventually it all wears thin and we get renaissance periods in actual rock. There's always the trusty well know rock bands who keep trucking along but the attention outside of the loyal fans dries up sometimes.

Judging the music scene over the past decade, we are due for another cycle any time now, so bands like this maybe the ones to who bring it around. If so? Thank god for that lol
