I'm trying to be "ok" with it. I go through very deep, dark depression when it rains.

Thankfully, on the hillside, we dont deal with flooding.

On weekends i will get in the car and drive out into the desert to find the sun.

That's funny how things affect people differently. I find it brings me a very nice sense of calm and peacefulness... I feel very good when it rains! It brings back memories of living on the farm in Ohio hoping for rain and good crops!

Grew up and spent most of my life in rural Western Illinois farm country. I get the need for rain and the crops. Wise farmer once told me the difference between too wet and too dry is two weeks. Started paying attention and after two week of no rain…. Dirt starts cracking from being too dry.

A light rain is fine with me. But, I don't like storms or high winds. I never have.

I love a nice thunder and lightning storm! I haven't seen one of those since I lived in Florida in 2004. Arizona had great lightning storms!
