We will be home a quiet evening, having Chinese food, from our favorite restaurant, they have take out only for New Years eve, they start taking the orders Nov 17th and it doesn't take long to fill the orders before they cut the calls. The food is great there, best we have had anywhere.

They have a great system there, you tell them what time you want your order and its ready on time . The lineups are long , but they move people right along quickly and smoothly..

We have 3 of our 4 grandkids this weekend. So be a relatively quiet time here. But we haven’t done much for NY Eve in years. Burn a few logs in the fireplace. Have some snacky type food. Cheese, crackers, summer sausage. Maybe pop corn. Maybe some sparking wine. Most likely bed by 10.

Then usually we do a decent brunch and mimosas on NY Day.

My local hosts this New Years Dinner Party and Dance at a hotel in Charleston,WV ( bout an hour away). The buffet food is usually subpar on the best day and a lot of the members are snobbish prudes, but they have an open bar, so that occasionally baits me out like this year lol me and the wife are gonna go, already booked a room for the night there, while the kiddos are going to their grandparents for the night for a big movie and snacking out festival ( her folks actually pitched this whole idea, so that's a rare win lol)

Hahaha if it's anything like the last one I went to about 4 years ago, then long story short: she got drunk on red wine, went back to the room and painted the toilet a nice shade of burgundy and then passed out on the bed just before Midnight, as I watched Cartoon Network till about 2am ,still in my suit lmao

Romantic huh? .....but the time before that, yeah...you were right

Staying home. Haven't gone out on New Year's Eve in years. Too many drunks.
I get that. While I do enjoy the occasional distilled cocktail and/or wine, these days I count my drinks by the one I have….. as in only one. Gave up the “binge” stuff about the time I turned 20.

But if I were still inclined to enjoy several adult beverages, I’d much rather do it at home. No driving involved…. I can crawl to bed if need be. :rolf:
