I just glanced over the article in general, but that was my takeaway. DV has actually been much cooler this summer, FWIW.

I seriously doubt you'll see non DV temps become the "norm" as there are significant geographic causations for the DV region to have its elevated temperatures.

Funny that the greatest extremes in climatic conditions are in our past...

ok. Because the article was about how the rest of the world is getting so hot that DV temps are almost normal comparably. They hit almost record temps for the longest run in years. So I'd say it's getting hotter, not cooler.

It's been surprisingly cool in DV.
