Technically, it’s the glycol in antifreeze that keeps it from freezing. Glycol is odorless, colorless and sweet tasting. If it was Smirnoff, Pinnacle, SVEDKA, or Skyy that didn't freeze I'd guess it was because of the main ingredient, antifreeze. Wonder how they keep them clear and not green or orange.
I have a big chest freezer I use for most of my stuff, including my vodka bottles. I honestly have no idea what the temperature in there is, but -27C is around -16F, which seems DAMN cold.Your freezer must be set really cold.
Propylene glycol is the base liquid in many of those vape pens that all the hipsters are sucking on, so to have a food grade additive in a drink wouldn't surprise me eitherTechnically, it’s the glycol in antifreeze that keeps it from freezing. Glycol is odorless, colorless and sweet tasting.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they used food grade glycol.
Had a bad experience with vodka when I was a stupid 18 year old. Consequently, I tend to stay away from the stuff. Frozen or unfrozen.
That was an interesting read!Your freezer must be set really cold.
I can't say I've ever had vodka freeze up on me but I don't think my freezer is that cold. I've had it thicken and start to act kinda syrup-y though.I have a big chest freezer I use for most of my stuff, including my vodka bottles. Hoth like cold.
