Thanks Mitch. I went for the one with the least flame and more mineral deposits. It's also a pound heavier than the other three they had in stock.

That is a beauty! Nice score! I like a plaintop too, looks very much like my 2016 Classic except mine has zebras. Even has the pearloid tuners.

Yea it is. I had the option of either pulling that out or the 7 string Jackson. I love 7 strings and I love Jackson guitars but that Richie Faulkner V… something about it. I don’t know if it’s because most of my life my main axe was an epiphone sg so I’m used to the scale and spacing or if it’s something else. But it’s a guitar I immediately meshed with, nothing is forced and those pickups just hit the sweet spot with tone and me, plus sentimental value.

Well. It is Straturday after all. Spent the last couple hours working on an old tune. Found most of the notes…. Now just have to put it together and get up to speed….. my speed….. not Mr. Ramo speed.

It’s ugly pillow night, with Greta, and hockey!….and the SG Standard P90….fuzzy goodness…

I really like that little Greta amp! The Altec Lancing 2X8 cab was a freebie roadside rehab pickup…didn’t know what it was when I found it, but after a bit of rehabilitation, it’s perfect for the Greta!

Been working on a tune recently. Realized the original artist recorded using a hollow body Gibby. I don’t own one, so my Viking will just have to do.

When I got home from Germany, I needed to reassemble this Strat after taking it out of my luggage. It’s been on the stand, and playing it regularly. The ‘54 Custom Shop pickups are actually kind of dark, and it does the Jimi thing real well when playing rhythm. Was using it with the DST15 and DST30. Sounded great with both.
