I keep a bunch in a holder too. I tend to toss quite a few out, depending on the show. I will find fun ways to do it - bat with back of hand kick em, head butt...
Will look for some video or pull stills of pick throws.

The alternating there was just luck. I just put em in however. I am not that clever!!Yup...that's the same holder I have!
I alternate front and back in the holder, too!
That's a cool idea to toss them out in different ways.
For real? I never knew that. I grew up in the same town as Cheap Trick. Maybe there's something in the water that makes us want to throw guitar picks!Pick tossing comes from Rick Neilsen of Cheap Trick, the master of pick throwing.
I've been using these for so long I can't really use anything else. I may switch up the thickness (+/-) every once in a while, but this is my usual go to.

I even knew Bun E. Carlos's sister. She was actually a pretty good violin player.
Cinnamon girl solo ! (one note) :dood:Dude, it would be so funny to try to play a solo on stage with one of those! That would be a cool way to play up to the crowd.
I stayed in Rockford for 2 weeks there, 2 weeks home, for 6 months in 1979. Stayed at this place while working at the Chrysler plant during a retooling for the Omni and Horizon.Oh man. He is awesome. Throws em out by the bucket. I have 4 or 5.
You from Rockford? Ever hang at Neilsen's dad's music store? Or would it have been closed? That's really cool. I have seen them many times will find video.
He tosses em between his legs, etc

I dunno. Just knew he had a guitar shop... maybe it closed.Yup, grew up in Rockford.
Which music store would that have been? The big store at the time was Guzzardo’s Music. I did go to a few others from time to time, but that was the one everyone knew and they had the best selection.

"During Rick's teens, the family owned a music store in Rockford, Illinois, and he learned to play a number of instruments."
Ahh you are too young maybe. Who knows when it closed? Possibly before The 80s...I just looked it up. It was Ralph Nielsen Music House. I gotta say I don’t think I ever visited there.
The things I remember most about Guzzardo’s, however, was that I bought my first amp there, a Peavey Studio Pro 40.
And…as I was getting into guitar in the ‘80s, I remember every Gibson on the wall in the store - Les Pauls, SGs, AND ES-335s had the stud-mount Kahler tremolos!
Good times…good times!
335s with a Kahler!!
Yup, that’s the place. I have a post card with a drone shot of the plant on it. I remember it was over 60 acres under one roof.Yup. Very familiar with the Clock Tower Inn.
I haven‘t lived in Rockford for about 30 years, but I actually stayed at the Clock Tower Inn about ten years ago, or so, when I went back home for my father’s funeral.
You were probably working at the Chrysler plant in Belvidere, Illinois which is right next to Rockford. My step-brother worked at that Chrysler plant that same time you were there!
