New guitar!

Gorgeous fiddle congrats! And the pickup is...?

One real question though:

Did @Ramo give you a Top Endorsement deal? Cause that polo is the metal shirt equivalent of a face for radio. :rolf:

Ha ha ha!
The pickup is a Duncan Custom. I'm learning to like it.... But I pre-ordered a Duncan Distortion just because I know what I love and we'll see how long it goes until I swap it.

As for my shirt, I got the notification the guitar had been delivered, pulled into the driveway and ran the guitar into the garage to play it, I didn't take the time to get out of my work clothes before switching into metal mode. My apologies, nothing but tour shirts from now on.... Or the occasional pajamas.

I had a Ducan Custom in a 7 string for awhile and loved it for lower tuned. 7 string stuff. The Duncan Solars I currently have are allegedly modded versions of the Custom, done to Ola's specs. Really dig them too, but in C# it's all Nazgul all day.

That is, til my new Elysian Valkyrie gets here...

Congrats! That is sweet!

I'm glad I got into the Dean camp; I really dig my V79.
I'm happy enough with the stock Time Capsule pickups.
The tuning stability is not where I want it yet; the steep lateral angle from the slots to the tuners I figure.

If I can remember... This would be my 15th or 16th Dean. Mostly MLs, a couple Vs, and 3 or 4
razorbacks. (I only own 3 Deans now)

Outside of one cheap ML, I've not had any issues at all with them besides their pickups. I've gone mostly with Dimebuckers or EMG, or Distortions as replacements. The only Dean pickup I actually liked was the baker act.
The time capsules are very well liked pups, they just weren't for me. I really missed all my MLs, so when this one popped up, I had to jump on it.
I'm pretty happy with it so far!

Looks like it would match your Dean V finish somewhat. Put them side by side, I bet they look good together.

I'm convinced that after we had the custom shop build those Blue Water V"s, that those guitars inspired the select series. The only difference is the dark paint around the edges to make them really pop.
I will shoot a few pics when I get home

Here is the Dean branch of the family:

I took it to rehearsal tonight, it sounds wicked in our mix!

The Distortion was the perfect choice, it feeds back perfectly and is so harmonically rich! It does exactly what I want it to do.

I'm really pleased with it now! It may have bumped my Les Paul's off the stage . . . Might be going with explorers and this Dean!
