Hey All.

Here is a photo of my own personal V2 Caldera. Built in one of my original aluminum chassis from Watts Audio (deeper than my locally built boxes) and housed in a dyed-tweed head cab. I pulled out all of the original circuitry, which was loaded on a pair of turret boards, and installed a prototype of my Caldera FX PCB. I had to add a fourth 12AX7 for the buffered effects loop. The prototype board works perfectly, so I have already added a foot switchable boost on version 1.0 (which is en route to my shipping address).

The headcab's black-dyed tweed with all the gold trimmings looks excellent. How do you like your tube buffered fx loops compared to a solid state module?

Is your Caldera a 30 watt/EL34 version?

My current solid state module isn't ideal for my own amps, because it was created for Marshalls that have a left-right reversed layout. It works, but I do want to mirror-reverse it for my own amps.

The new FX is tube buffered. Some of the components are on the Caldera PCB itself, and the rest are mounted on the additional tube socket and send/return jacks. I like this better, because an additional PCB isn't floating right above the preamp and PI tube sockets.

Yes it is a 30 watt EL34 version. I now also make 50 W version; not sure what I like better....
