That's pretty cool!
Alright, good question! So I just tried this with a bamboo shish kabob skewer and after running it back and forth, there IS a lil roughing of the skewer going on at the A and D saddles ( 5th and 4th). So, remedy: change them all?If you have a rounded bamboo or wooden skewer, or a rounded toothpick, slide it back and forth on the saddle's edges closest to where the strings come in at the bridge plate. Does the skewer or toothpick splinter a bit?

Or sand/polish them where the string contacts them.Alright, good question! So I just tried this with a bamboo shish kabob skewer and after running it back and forth, there IS a lil roughing of the skewer going on at the A and D saddles ( 5th and 4th). So, remedy: change them all?
buy yourself a proper Floyd rose.... Them GG arent built for slayer rape trem abuse....Alright, admittedly I am dumb as hell to a "whammy" and it's still incredibly new to me but I gotta question some of you might be able to help me answer.
The tremolo is really nice, stable and stays in tune really well after being a little aggressive with it. But the other day, on a set a strings that weren't but a few days old, I busted the A and D when doing a slight pull up. It's set to a float but the question is: is it something either in the tension setting of the plate or possibly needing roller saddles? Or am I just a jackass who did something they shouldn't have done in the first place? Lol
The stud mount spacings are built specifically for this trem allegedly and it wont even interchange with a standard 2 mount Fender trem. It can be done but it requires redrilling and that ain't gonna happen here lol it works extremely well for how I use it, however and can very easily take some whammy abuse. Just gotta make some minor adjustments now it seemsbuy yourself a proper Floyd rose.... Them GG arent built for slayer rape trem abuse....
Perhaps we'll try this route first!Or sand/polish them where the string contacts them.

Hmm, worth a shot to go seek some out then perhaps in the Reverb/Ebay halls!I was just researching G&L parts. The saddles might be chrome plated brass. However, G&L at one point offered an upgraded Dual Fulcrum Vibrato that included saddles made of stainless steel billet, for the Legacy's. G&L's website is a little goofy, and I don't think they offer their fancier vibrato system anymore...![]()
But with a Y.Looks like a Zelinski
