Let me start this short tale of adventure by paraphrasing Po, The Dragon Warrior: "Legend tells of a Legendary Piece of Hardware, whose profiling and cloning / replicating skills were the stuff of legend"...

Well, it took some time but just a few months back, that piece of hardware -one of my personal "Holy Grails", to be candid- finally revealed itself in front of my eyes... just like that! Out of virtually nowhere it was sitting there, in plain sight; offering itself to those worthy... but was it within reach? Would I be the chosen one to revel in all its chameleonic glory?

So, I gathered the gumption (and liquidity...) and embarked on the quest to make that one particular Legendary Piece of Hardware, MY VERY OWN Holy Grail...

Behold... THE Kemper!!!

Of course, upon arrival, a strict QC review had to be performed by Churro The Inspector...

After going through the checklist and getting Churro's furry seal of approval, the shipment was received...

Aaand... I'm happy to say that with the very kind help (and patience through the whole process) from fellow TTR'er @Sp8ctre, that specific Holy Grail, a full-grown, all-powerful, cute-as-a-button but deadly-as-a-black-mamba profiling amplifier now sits in its altar on my Shoffice (shop/office) window shelf, overlooking the lake shore...

And... I'm a happy camper!! Now on to the next quest: looking for a Kempie-worthy cab! That (I hope) should happen a lot quicker.

Congratulations @SIx String Chef ! I too possess a @Sp8ctre Kemper! Though mine is a non-power amped rack mount…to the left in the pic.

I’m fine with the non-powered version, as there’s plenty of stuff to run it through here...from the studio monitors, to powered PA cabs, to the full PA rig that is pushed by around three thousand watts of power. To be honest, the Kemper into the studio monitors is a pretty blissful experience. It’s an excellent tool, to me…I hope you enjoy yours!

So happy to pass these units on to people who will use them to the utmost of their capability!

As much as I truly love the Kemper...I've had THREE of them, the guitar playing was just not getting anywhere.

I'm happy goofing along with Yousician and my Blackstar Silverline Deluxe Head and my good old vertical 2x12.

Keep us posted on your journey and your favorite profiles...who knows I may own a FOURTH Kemper some day!!!

Congrats on a very cool musical tool...

Does your Kemper have its own power for driving speakers?

Will you be looking for FRFR cab & speakers?
Thank you kindly, Sysco!

Yes, it's the PowerHead model which, I believe, has 400W output.

As for the FRFR speakers and cab I would also say yes, as they would best represent what's being played. However, they would have to be non-powered and VERY decently priced...

Welcome to the community !

Thank you kindly, Don! I'm happy to see that there is quite a few fellow TTRers that I can refer to for guidance on how to better use Kempie.

I see that you have the full compact rig... Very Nice!! I think this may be a question with a very obvious answer but I have to ask it anyway: how has the Kemper cab worked for you so far? And the other accessories like the expression pedal... Is it a closed-system like apple products used to be or can any expression pedal on the market be used?

THank you
Very neat!!!
Thank you very much, Rob!! It is NEEEEEEAAATOOOO!! I'm so enjoying it!

Although to be candid, the very first time I used it, I went straight to the strobe tuner function to intonate that Peavey Predator w/Floyd Rose that I've been working on from way back. Next, I'll go with headphones to get acquainted with the universe of tones it came with... while I get ahold of a decent FRFR cab w/speakers. :dood::dood:

I bought the unpowered head, remote and expression pedal used (it was a great deal). I then bought a Headrush powered FRFR speaker unit. Then I found out about the Camplifier add on amp for the Kemper. I then bought the unpowered Kabinet. The Kabinet and Headrush both produced great tones and the Kabinet is light at under 25 pounds.

PS - I haven’t spent anytime learning the remote pedal board so I can’t say much about that yet. It will take any expression pedal as best as I can see.

Thank you, TB Don!

WOW! That's some serious home studio you have there. I can only imagine what the Kemper must sound like there... unless of course, you post an example or two!! ;)

congrats on new gear, now cook me some tasty thrash riffage! so I can go like :eddie: and bitches can go :flash:
Ah, Brother Ramo!! Good to hear from you again!! I'll try my best to do something to impress, but ... I cannot guarantee it won't be Hair Metal. Or something having to do with a Telecaster!:LOL:
Great to see you again, Brother!

At work they have this ping pong radio station on where they keep playing Bon Jovi and I keep imagining you singing into hair brush in front of mirror is my life…. Now or never…. :pound-hand:

Very cool.
I also have very stringent QC here at home. I have 2 inspectors and they follow me through the process of making sure I hook everything up right.
It nerve racking having 2 sets of eyes over my shoulder all the time.

Great gear!!

Thanks, bro.

THAT would be quite the sight, now wouldn't it???

Doing well on this end, Bro... thanks for asking. The food business is starting to pick up again and I'm getting also more and more involved in developing the guitar tech gig on the side, so... looking promising all over. And how have you been? How's the family?
